I ended it with Suzie last Thursday. I had been stressed since we moved in together, mostly financial stress, but also a general frustration with how she comes to her decisions.
I'm not the kind of guy who will back up his friends when they are wrong, I back up the side thats right. I'll do my best to try and help them deal with the situation they put themselves, but I won't say they're right when they're wrong. Suzie is the kind of person who expects her friends to be on her side all the time, like people who get in fights with someone and expect you to not be friends with that person either because they're fighting with them. Its fairly normal, but its not my style. I knew Suzie was emotional when I went with her, and I thought I could handle it, but I really couldn't. To me, it seemed like she felt entitled to more than she should have in life, that it should be more "fair" towards her, and to me fair isn't part of the life equation, you deal with what life gives you and try not to waste any energy thinking about what you "should have" had.
So now I'm single again, Suzie is getting an air mattress for her bedroom, we're going to try a roommate situation for a while. It might work, she seems pretty laid back about the whole thing since we only went on 3 dates and were only dating for a few weeks. If so, it'll make my bills a bit cheaper for a while and give her a place to get situated. She says she won't be disturbed by me dating, that will be the real test I suppose.
I'm possibly getting a little sick, not sure, have a mild headache and have been a bit nauseous for a few days, guess we'll see. I thought about calling in sick to sleep it off, but I'd rather not call in sick if I can help it, going to have a employee review soon and don't want to push it. :)
D&D was fun, looking forward to running my campaign this Sunday, Rise of the RuneLords. I'm doing some different things, trying to introduce some 4th edition concepts in terms of how I handle situations, and Matt G might even join.
