It talks about how perception often isn't reality, especially in regards to popular perception. It aggravates me when people root for the underdog, personally I try to root for the best product, best person, best music, etc, regardless if every single person in the world likes something...or if they don't...
I always think about the southpark episode where Cartman asks the emo kid to help him with a scheme and 2 of the emo kids refuse because they're being "different", and the third joins because thats how "different" he is. Maybe thats my own kind of rebellion, rebelling by liking popular things. ;)
